Open Enrollment

If you are eligible to enroll in a qualified health plan, Open Enrollment is the period of time when you can enroll in a plan in the Marketplace/ exchange.

Individuals may also qualify for special enrollment periods outside of open enrollment if they experience certain events.

Local Assistance

Free enrollment appointments are available, in English and Spanish, with certified representatives from Barton Health.

Call 530.600.1984 to make an appointment (messages will be returned within two business days). Please bring your picture ID, social security number and household income to your appointment.

Medi-Cal

Medi-Cal enrollment is year-round. Apply for Medi-Cal online through Covered California, or you can also call the local South Lake Tahoe Medi-Cal Office at 530.573.3200.

Medicaid

Medicaid enrollment is managed through Access Nevada , which you can call at 1.800.992.0900.
